The Sunset Drive In Theatre will be CLOSED until the Labor Day weekend.   There are several reasons for this decision.   This has been a very bad season! It has been a struggle with all the rain, movies releases have not been very good, expenses are high and attendance has been very low.   Therefore, with the intense temperatures predicted and school starting, we have made the decision to close for the next 3 weekends.  This is the 75th anniversary year for the Drive In.    And, under the present management since 1977.  Hard times hit in 1987 with VHS, Satellite TV,  and other reasons. Many of the 4500 drive ins nationwide closed. We reopened the next year and have been one of the remaining 300 or less drive ins still operating.   We’re not giving up!  Just taking a short break at a tough time. 

We will reopen for the Labor Day weekend with the projected DOUBLE FEATURE, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “The End of Oak Street” PG-13.
